Day one of the holiday programme kicked off yesterday and
the weather was spectacular. Tamariki enjoyed a day out at Brahms Farm
based in Paengaroa. Whaea Nicky said the “Water slide was the favorite
for the day”. Young Ashlyn Koce was so excited about the day she had, her
words were coming out jumbled – “The water was freezing and the slide was
cool but some kids were scarred and OMG, I can’t wait for tomorrow cause we are
going to the place with lion cubs and fish and I can’t wait”.
Mental Health Day Activities starts tomorrow. Tangata
Whaiora are invited to participate in a day of activities at the beach and
BBQ. The day will also include discussion about what activities and
education Whaiora would like to participate in throughout the year so that in can
be incorporated into the weekly programmes.
