The MHASS Bully Proof Maketu campaign
kicked off 2014 with two fun Park Days for local tamariki and their whanau.
The
22nd of January saw our rangatahi take part in free sports & art
activities and a sausage sizzle helped to settle hungry puku. Friday
saw the local park taken over by a huge inflatable slide. Tamariki under the
supervision of MHASS staff and whanau spent the majority of the day slipping
and sliding. For those that needed a quiet option, face painting, poster
designing and volleyball were available.
Once again a sausage sizzle filled hungry puku and a lolly scramble
ended a fantastic day.
It was awesome to see tamariki and their
whanau engaging and participating in these free community events. Feedback from Facebook and whanau deemed both
days a success. There are more Bully
Free Park Days planned for 2014 so keep an ear out and come join us.
