Maketu Heath & Social Services will be developing a mother’s support group for mothers and their babies in 2014.  Join our friendly environment where we can share experiences, gain friendships and wider support networks.  Meet once a week for coffee, share ideas, exchange baby clothes or products.

TE HA ORA ANTENATAL (Birthing Classes)

This course provides whanau with up to date information on pregnancy and birthing it also gives whanau more options when exploring Traditional Maori birthing practices

Day classes

1 Day a week for 3 weeks

10.00am – 12.00pm

TAMARIKI ORA SERVICES

Tamariki Ora Services is a care and support service for pre-school tamariki and their whanau.  The service supports parents and caregivers by providing in home visits and access to clinics.  This service is available to pregnant women and mothers with tamariki (under five years) living in Maketu and the surrounding district.

What does this service offer:

·        Antenatal and Post natal in-home visits

·        Well Child/Core Checks

·        Immunisations

·        B4 School Checks

·        Ear and eye checks

·        Access to dental care

·        Breast feeding education

·        Parenting advice, support and education

·        Safe home education

·        Hearing Referral
