FreeCycle

Our nonprofit mission is to build a worldwide gifting movement that reduces waste, saves precious resources & eases the burden on our landfills while enabling our members to benefit from the strength of a larger community."

Freecycle is an online portal where individual’s list items they want to give away for FREE. Everything from toys their kids have grown out of, to piles of garden pebbles no longer... required.A great place to pick up items for our whanau in need, Check out the website for details. Http://nz.freecycle.org/

What is Freecycle?

We are an online / email based community where people who have unwanted items can easily find other people who want them, rather than sending them to the landfills. This allows perfectly good (but unwanted) items from being thrown into the landfills, and giving them a new lease of life with a new owner.

The items you give must be FREE, legal and age-appropriate. More about this can be found on our F.A.Q.. You can see some examples of offers/wanted on our examples page

Based on the old adage that "one person's trash is another person's treasure", Freecycle's goal is to slow the flow of trash into our landfills by connecting people who want to get rid of old "stuff" with those frugal people looking for free "stuff".
